The Initial Visit The initial visit is an introductory meeting. It is the time for client and designer to meet each other and for the client to express their hopes and wishes for their space. It also affords the designer an opportunity to asses what the design fee will be. Within a week, the homeowners will receive a proposal. Once the designer receives the signed contract, an appointment is made to come by an measure the site. Preliminary Drawing Presentation The preliminary drawing is based on the architecture of the residence, the environmental conditions of the site, and the combined vision of the homeowners and the designer. It is a meeting designed, not only to present the vision for the future space, but a time for the clients to discuss possible plant substitutions and to fine tune the hardscape. Delivery of Final Drawings Once the preliminary drawing has been approved by the homeowners, it is put into a blueprint format. Copies of the drawings are mailed to the clients and to the individual contractors who will be working on the project. The contractors will then submit their bids for the clients' approval. Once the bids are accepted, scheduling of the project can be planned. Completing the Project The actual project starts with the team of contractors that work with our design firm. They will install the plants, irrigation, low-voltage lighting and build water features, fireplaces, patios, pergolas, decks, etc. ; everything needed to complete the installation. We pride ourselves in being associated with a group of skillful professionals who are licensed and insured and will follow the supplied design blueprint explicitly. |
